We're getting ready to implement a new small group system because we want it to be a clear and focused part of our discipleship process. So this week we're going to talk about small groups and I think also have some question and answer time. At least questions. ;^) Several of us have been reading a book called Simple Church, recommended by Lee Powell from Cedar Creek in Toledo. The basic thrust of the book is make sure we have a clear and simple process in place to help people grow into mature followers of Jesus. Rick and I are excited because the principles seem to be very relevant to needs in the church here. And part of implementing a clear and simple process is providing a better place for fellowship and growth. I know people have questions and I want us all to understand what we're trying to do and to see how being a member of a small group will be an important part of your growth as a Christian. And an important part of the plan for your growth that we have here at Ridgewood. We want all our live to be transformed and we think a better small group system is a big part of helping to put your transformation in your reach and making it easier for you to grow and to help others to grow.
