Who We Are
Jeff Moore, pastor
After growing up in Iowa,
Jeff and Peg moved to East Lansing
in 1977 to help start a campus ministry, MSU Bible Study, which has since grown
into Riverview Church.
In 1988, they moved to the metro-Detroit area to help begin Ridgewood
and have been serving here since then. They live just outside Wixom in Lyon
Township and have two sons, Josh
('80) and Jon ('84). Jeff attended Deep Springs College and has a BS in Botany from Iowa State University.
Rick Beemer, pastor
Rick and his wife, Candi, grew up in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti
area. While they were in school at Michigan
State, they were active in MSU
Bible Study. In 1985, they moved to Ypsilanti
to help start a campus ministry at Eastern
Michigan University,
and in 1988 they helped to start Ridgewood. Rick is also
a licensed professional counselor with an office in South Lyon, Michigan, and received his Masters in Guidance and Counseling from Eastern Michigan. The
Beemers live in South Lyon and have five children, Jake ('86), Jessi ('88),
Matt ('89), Melissa ('91), and Luke ('94).
